The inspiring word for our next Light and Colour artwork is BACKLIGHT!
What really is BLACKLIGHT?
Blacklight by definition is form of illumination used on liquid crystal displays (LCD), present in our smart phones or even in your old fashion pocket calculator. Nevertheless, in photography and cinematography refers to a direct strong light from the back that with the presence of a diffuse front light (fill light) creates one of the most popular lightning techniques used, characterized by the creation of hot edges in the objects. Did you remind any movie where you saw this technique largely explored? One of the actual masters of this technique is the cinematographer Janusz Kaminski (IMDB), he was involved in the photography production of movies like “Schindler’s List”, “Lincoln”, “Catch me if you can”, among other.
